Alright, alright, let’s talk about them Jab Comics, you know, the funny books. I ain’t no expert, mind you, just a regular person who likes a good laugh and maybe a little bit of a story now and then.

Well, from what I gather, it’s like this: they put out new stuff all the time, like them picture books they used to sell at the five-and-dime back in the day. Only these are, you know, more modern, I guess. They got all sorts of stories, some short, some long.

Reminds me of when I had to go to them meetings for my grandkids. Lord, those were the days!

- Longer Stories: These are like the full meal deal. They take a while to get through, but they got more to ‘em. Like them “Meet the Neighbors” ones I was talking about.
And where do you find these Jab Comics? Well, I hear tell you can find them on the internet, which is like a big library, only you don’t have to go nowhere. You just sit right there in your chair and look it up. They got this thing called Pinterest, which is like a big bulletin board where folks pin up all sorts of pictures and ideas. And then there’s this Reddit place, which is like a town hall meeting, only everybody’s shouting at once. But you can find stuff about Jab Comics there too.
Now, I also heard about some farm lessons in these comics. Something about not letting someone touch you. Sounds serious. Maybe it’s one of them safety lessons, like when they tell you not to stick your hand in the thresher. Good advice, that is. You don’t want to lose a hand over a silly mistake.
And when do these new comics come out? Well, it seems like they come out on Wednesdays, just like the newspapers used to. Only now, you can get ‘em on your computer or your phone, or whatever them fancy gadgets are called. They call them digital editions, like it’s magic or something. But I guess it’s just pictures on a screen. Same as it ever was, just a different way of looking at it.
They say the point of all this is to get more people reading comics, which I think is a good thing. Comics ain’t just for kids, you know. They got stories for everybody, young and old. And sometimes, a good laugh is just what you need to get through the day.
