I heard tell that they made somethin’ like over 3000 pars in 2023! That’s a whole lotta pars! Can you imagine? 3029 of ‘em! That’s what I heard, anyway. Thirty hundred and twenty-nine! That’s more than the chickens I got in the coop, that’s for sure.

And then there’s this talk about the “cut.” Seems like after two days, they get rid of some of the players. Only the best ones get to keep playin’ on the weekend. So, there’s fewer fellas playin’ on Saturday and Sunday, which means fewer chances for pars then.
I also heard tell that last year, the average score was somethin’ like 73 and a half. Now, I don’t know what par is for the whole course, but 73 sounds like a whole lotta hittin’ to me. They must be missin’ some pars here and there, I reckon.
You know, it’s kinda like pickin’ berries. You go out there, and you hope to fill your bucket, right? That’s like makin’ par on every hole. But sometimes you find a good patch, and sometimes you don’t. Sometimes you drop some berries. It’s all the same.
Anyways, they keep track of all these pars and scores and all sorts of things on somethin’ called a leaderboard. It’s like a big ol’ scoreboard, but fancier. Shows you who’s doin’ good and who’s not. It tells you who’s winning and how much money they’re making. That’s important, I guess, for them fellas.
So, back to your question, how many pars? Like I said, over 3000 of ‘em in 2023. 3029, to be exact, accordin’ to what I heard. That’s a powerful lot of pars, if you ask me. They musta been hittin’ that little ball pretty good some of the time. And then they did it again in 2024, even more pars then! 3202 pars they made in 2024! Them fellas are gettin’ better at hittin’ that ball, I reckon.
And that Scottie Scheffler fella, he won it all in 2024. Musta made a whole heap of pars himself, that one. He must be real good at hittin’ that ball. I bet he could hit a squirrel out of a tree if he wanted to, not that he would, of course. They’re nice fellas, them golfers, mostly.
