Today, I wanted to share my little adventure on how I got some free ancient coins in “Sea of Thieves”. It’s a pirate’s life for me, and who doesn’t love free stuff, right?
So, first, I launched the game. After a few days break, I figured I’d see if I could snag some of those shiny ancient coins without spending my hard-earned real-world cash.
I knew from some past gaming sessions that these special coins could sometimes be found by defeating Ancient Skeletons. These bony guys pop up randomly on islands, forts, and sea forts. It’s all about luck, to be honest. They are not easy to find, but I felt lucky.
I started sailing around, checking out different islands. I raised my anchor, steered my ship, and explored every nook and cranny. It was a bit of a grind, I won’t lie. I battled some regular skeletons, dug up a few chests, you know, the usual pirate stuff. No Ancient Skeletons though. It is much easier to get some coins by paying, but who wants to do that?
Then, while I was exploring a random small island, I heard this strange rattling sound. I drew my sword, thinking it was just another regular skeleton, but then I saw it—an Ancient Skeleton! This one was glowing with a strange light. I got excited and thought, “This is it!”
I charged at it, slashing and dodging. It wasn’t a tough fight, but I had to be quick. These guys disappear fast. After a few hits, it crumbled, and guess what? It dropped a small bag of ancient coins! I quickly picked them up.
- Check the Map: I decided to mark the spot on my map. You never know when these things might spawn again in the same location.
- Continue Exploring: I kept exploring other islands, hoping to find more. I battled a few more regular skeletons and collected some other treasures along the way.
I ended up finding another one a little bit later, on a fort this time! Two in one day. I was really lucky! Fought it the same way, and bam, more coins.
Keep Leveling Up
Aside from hunting those Ancient Skeletons, I also made sure to keep an eye on my season progress. You get a few ancient coins as you level up. It’s not a lot, but hey, free is free. I noticed that I could get 25 coins from a Cache and 50 from a Hoard. I saw a Cache and got the reward.
By the end of my session, I had collected a decent amount of ancient coins, and you know what? It felt great to earn them without spending any real money. Sure, it takes time and patience, but that’s part of the adventure, isn’t it?
Honestly, if you’re not up for the grind, there’s always the option to buy them directly or use Microsoft rewards. I’ve heard that you can trade in points for coins or gift cards, but I haven’t tried that myself. I prefer the thrill of the hunt.
So, that’s my story on how I got some free ancient coins in “Sea of Thieves”. It’s all about exploring, being patient, and sometimes, just getting lucky. Happy sailing, everyone!
