Alright, so the other day I was trying to find a good map of this TPC Southwind place. I heard it’s kind of a big deal, you know, where they have that FedEx thing going on. I figured a map would be handy, especially since I might actually go there in person sometime in the near future.
First thing I did was hop online and start poking around. I found this interactive map, which was pretty cool, I gotta say. You can zoom in, zoom out, move it around, check out each hole from above. It’s like having a bird’s-eye view of the whole course.
I spent a good chunk of time just exploring this map. I was clicking on each hole, getting a feel for the layout, you know? And this map, it even gives you these GPS distances, which is super helpful for planning your shots if you’re actually playing there.
- Zoomed in and out of the map to get a closer look.
- Moved the map around to see different areas.
- Checked out each hole individually.
- Noted the GPS distances for each hole.
After going through the map, I thought it would be a good idea to have a hard copy of something. So I found some yardage charts online and printed those out. That way, I’ve got something to refer to when I’m out there on the course, not just relying on the digital map.

I also looked at some aerial views of the course, just to get a different perspective. It’s interesting to see how the course looks from different angles. This helped me get a better sense of the overall layout and how the holes are connected.
Now, I ain’t no professional golfer, but from what I gathered, this TPC Southwind is a championship-level course. The website mentioned something about the FedEx St. Jude Championship happening there from August 15th to 18th, which I assume is a pretty big tournament.
Anyways, that’s my little adventure with the TPC Southwind map. It was more involved than I initially thought, but hey, now I feel like I’ve got a decent handle on the place. Maybe one day I’ll actually get to play there and put all this map-studying to good use!
