Okay, so, Week 16, and I was sweating bullets about my wide receiver situation. My usual go-to guys were either on bye or had tough matchups. Then I remembered I had Tee Higgins on my bench. I gotta admit, I was hesitant at first, cause, you know, consistency hasn’t always been his middle name.
But I did some digging. I scrolled through a bunch of fantasy football articles and expert analysis. Most of them are talking about how he is a solid WR2 and should start. And the main reason is the target volume.
My Process
- Checked the Matchup: First thing I did was look at who the Bengals were playing. I needed to see if their defense was any good against wide receivers.
- Looked at Recent Performance: Then, I went back and checked Higgins’s stats from the past few weeks. Was he getting targets? Was he actually catching the ball? You know, the basic stuff.
- Considered the Bengals’ Offense: The Bengals have some new RBs. I had to think about how that might affect Higgins’s role.
After doing all of this, I felt a little better, So I took the risk and plugged Higgins into my starting lineup.
Man, was I nervous all Sunday! I kept refreshing the app on my phone, watching the game, and just generally being a mess. Every time Joe Burrow threw the ball, I held my breath.
In the end, Higgins did pretty good!It wasn’t, like, a record-breaking performance, but he got me some solid points. It was enough. he definitely delivered, and I ended up winning my matchup by a hair!
So, yeah, that’s my Tee Higgins Week 16 story. Sometimes, you gotta go with your gut (and a little bit of research), and it might just pay off.
