Okay, so I’ve been craving something sweet and chewy lately, and I stumbled upon this “golden blondie” thing. I’d never made blondies before, always been a brownie kinda person, but the pictures looked so good. I figured, why not? Let’s give it a shot.
First, I gathered all my ingredients. This was pretty standard stuff: butter, brown sugar (light and dark, because why not?), eggs, vanilla extract, flour, baking powder, salt, and the “golden” part – white chocolate chips! I made sure I have all I need and don’t lack any of it.
Getting Started: The Batter
I melted the butter in a saucepan. It has to be completely melted.
Then, in a big bowl, I whisked together the melted butter and both kinds of brown sugar. I made sure it was all nicely combined, no lumps of sugar hiding anywhere. This smelled amazing already!
Next, I cracked in the eggs, one at a time, and stirred them in really well. Then came the vanilla – a generous splash, because I love vanilla.
In a separate bowl, I mixed the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Gotta have that salt to balance the sweetness, you know?
Slowly, I added the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until it was just combined. You don’t want to overmix it, or the blondies will be tough.
Finally, the best part – I folded in the white chocolate chips. I might have “accidentally” eaten a few… for quality control, of course.
Baking Time!
I poured the batter into a greased and floured baking pan. A square one, I use a 9×9 inch pan.I spread it out evenly.
Then, into the oven it went! I baked it at 350°F (that’s about 175°C) and the baking time is around 25-30 minutes.
I stuck a toothpick in the center, and when it came out with just a few moist crumbs, I knew they were done.
The Hardest Part: Waiting
I took the pan out of the oven and let the blondies cool completely. They were looking very tempting in the pan.
After the golden blondies get cold. I cut it into squares. Finally, I can eat it.
These golden blondies were seriously good. Chewy, sweet, with that lovely white chocolate flavor. Definitely a win! I’ll be making these again, for sure.
