Okay, so I’ve been getting really into dynasty fantasy football lately. And one name that keeps popping up is Kendre Miller, the running back for the Saints. I decided to do a deep dive and see if he’s worth grabbing in my league. Here’s how it went down:

First Impressions and Initial Research
First, I watched some of his college highlights. I Just googled “Kendre Miller highlights” and watched a bunch of videos. The dude is explosive! He’s got this burst through the hole that’s pretty impressive. And he seems to make guys miss, you know? Not just running people over, but some nice jukes and cuts.
I learned that Miller is a relatively shifty, speedy runner.
Digging into the Stats
Then I started looking at some numbers. I checked out his college stats – rushing yards, touchdowns, yards per carry, all that stuff. I wanted to see if the eye test matched the actual production.
- Rushing Yards: I noticed he had a really strong final season. That’s a good sign.
- Touchdowns: His touchdown numbers were solid, too. Consistent scoring is key.
- Yards Per Carry: Anything over 5 yards per carry got my attention, and he was consistently above that. Good stuff.
The NFL Situation – New Orleans Saints
Of course, college is one thing, the NFL is another. I needed to see how he fit in with the Saints. So I started looking at their depth chart.
I learned the Saints already have Alvin Kamara, and they just added Jamaal Williams. That’s…concerning. A crowded backfield is never good for fantasy value. I spent some time reading news articles and “expert” opinions to see what people were saying about Miller’s role.

I also began to consider some less obvious things. I am asking what’s the Saints’ offensive line like? Are they good at run blocking? A great running back can struggle behind a bad line.
The Dynasty Perspective
Now, since this is dynasty, I’m not just thinking about this year. I’m thinking long-term. So, I started looking at Kamara’s age and contract situation. Is he going to be around forever? Is there a chance Miller takes over the lead role in a year or two?
Making My Decision
After all that, I felt like I had a pretty good handle on Kendre Miller. I weighed the pros and cons:
- Pros:Talented, explosive, good college production.
- Cons: Crowded backfield, might not get a lot of touches early on.
I ended up grabbing Miller, but did it with my eyes wide open. I’m hoping the talent wins out, but I’m also prepared for him to be more of a long-term play. Gotta be patient in dynasty, right?
So, that’s my Kendre Miller story. I felt like a real detective there for a while! Hopefully, it pays off in my league. We’ll see!
