Okay, so the other day I was watching an NBA game with a buddy, and he’s kinda new to basketball. He keeps asking all these questions, and one of them was “how long are these quarters exactly?” I kinda blanked. I mean, I know it’s 12 minutes, I’ve watched tons of games, but in the moment, I just couldn’t recall. It was a little embarrassing!
So, I grabbed my phone and I searched it up, you know, just to double-check I wasn’t about to tell him the wrong thing.
and confirmed that yes, each quarter in an NBA game is 12 minutes long.
The Experiment(Just kidding!)
It’s not really an experiment, it’s basic knowledge! But for real, here it is from start to the end:
- The question popped up: How many minutes are in an NBA quarter?
- I confidently thought “It must be 12”, and that it what i recall.
- Did a quick search online to be 100% sure.
- Result: Yep, 12 minutes per quarter!
It is very easy right? I think it’s pretty easy, but maybe it’s still a little bit confusing for the new comer, so I decide to write it down, and maybe someone will find it is useful for them!.
