Okay, so I’ve been hyped about the Canelo vs. Charlo fight for ages. It finally happened, and I made sure to record the whole thing from start to finish. I even cleared my schedule to watch it live!
First off, I started by setting up the Showtime Pay-Per-View. I’m not gonna lie, it wasn’t cheap, but for a fight of this magnitude, it was totally worth it. It’s Canelo Alvarez, the super middleweight champ, against Jermell Charlo, the light middleweight champ! This was going to be huge.
I grabbed some snacks, got comfy on the couch, and waited. The pre-fight analysis started, and I was taking notes, trying to predict how it would go down. Then, the co-main event kicked off, featuring Jesus “Mono” Ramos Jr. That was a good fight to warm up for the big showdown, I’ve gotta say.
Finally, the moment arrived. The main event! Canelo and Charlo entered the ring. The atmosphere was electric. I hit record on my device and watched with bated breath.
- Round 1: I noticed Canelo was setting the pace right from the start. He’s just a powerhouse!
- Middle Rounds: Charlo was trying, but Canelo, man, he was dominating. I was scribbling down every big punch, every strategic move. I think it was round seven, Canelo delivered a knockdown, and the crowd went wild.
- Later Rounds: Charlo, to his credit, kept coming, but Canelo’s defense was just too solid.
When the final bell rang, I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the official decision. It was a unanimous decision in favor of Canelo! The scores were 119-108, 118-109, and 118-109. I mean, the guy retained his undisputed super middleweight title like a boss!
After the fight, I rewatched some key moments, analyzed the techniques, and jotted down more notes. Seeing Canelo in action, especially after his fight with John Ryder earlier in May, just confirmed why he’s considered one of the best.
This was a boxing match for the ages. I’m so glad I got to witness it and record it for my own little archive. Can’t wait to discuss this with other boxing fans and see what’s next for both fighters.
I also took some notes about the fight itself.
- Alvarez defeated Charlo by unanimous decision (119-108, 118-109, 118-109) to retain the undisputed super middleweight title. From the very onset of the bout.
- Canelo lvarez, the unified super middleweight champion, thoroughly dominated Jermell Charlo on Saturday night.
- Alvarez (59-2-2, 30 KOs) puts his undisputed super middleweight championship on the line against undisputed junior middleweight champion Charlo (35-1-1.
Man, what a night! Canelo’s performance was just incredible. I’m still buzzing from the excitement. Time to review my footage again!
It’s not every day that you get to witness such a high-stakes fight. I’m going to be talking about this one for a long time.
