Getting Changli Ready
Alright, so I decided it was finally time to get Changli ascended. Been using her a bit, liked her style, you know? But she was stuck at a low level cap, felt kinda weak. First thing I did, obviously, was pull up her character screen. Gotta see what materials she actually needs, right? No point running around blind.

Looked like she needed a few things. Some kind of special flower, those red ones that glow a little. Remembered seeing them around the fiery mountain area. Also needed parts from that big mechanical bird boss, the one that shoots lasers everywhere. And then the usual common stuff, those little insignia things dropped by the standard enemies you find all over the place.
The Grind Begins: Flowers and Foes
So, first stop, the flowers. I warped to the waypoint nearest to where I remembered seeing them. Spent maybe 30-40 minutes just running a circuit around that mountain base. You gotta look sharp, some are hidden behind rocks or up small ledges. Picked every single one I could spot. Marked my map too, so I know the spots for next time. You always need more later, that’s how these games work.
Next up, the common enemy drops. Those little insignia badges. Found a good farming route someone mentioned online – not a link, just remembered reading it somewhere. It was this loop through an old ruined town. Lots of those basic robot-looking guys spawn there. Ran that loop maybe five or six times? Cleared them out, waited for respawn, did it again. Bit boring, listening to a podcast helps.
Tackling the Big Bird
Then came the tough part: the boss materials. That big mechanical bird thing. Honestly, not my favorite fight. You need that energy stuff, resin or whatever it’s called, to claim the rewards. So, couldn’t just farm it endlessly. Had to go beat it, spend the energy, wait for it to refill, then go again. Did this over a couple of days. Sometimes I messed up the dodges, got blasted. Had to eat some food to heal up. But eventually, got the number of parts I needed. Persistence is key, always.
Putting It All Together
So after all that running around, fighting, and waiting, I checked my inventory. Let’s see:
- Got enough of those glowing red flowers.
- Plenty of the common insignia things now.
- Finally, got the last piece from the mechanical bird boss.
Went back to Changli’s character screen. Hit that ascend button. Boom! Level cap raised. Felt good, you know? Like proper progress. Took a bit of effort, sure, but that’s the loop. Now gotta start thinking about the next ascension level… the grind never really stops, does it? But hey, that’s part of the fun.
