Okay, so I got really into this whole retro sports thing lately, and I decided to dive deep into the 1987 Dallas Cowboys roster. I mean, who was on that team, right?
First, I just went to my usual – good ol’ Google. I typed in “dallas cowboys roster 1987”. The first hits are some usual sports websites, and the information you get is complete enough, but not organized in a way that I like.
So, I did a simple thing. I copied all players’ names and pasted it to my note.
Digging Deeper
With the list on my note, I started to feel like I have the all players in the team. I recognized a few big names immediately, but lots I’d never heard of. That got me curious about their individual stats.
I went back to my search results and began checking it one by one.
It’s a little bit time-consuming, but hey, that’s part of the fun when you’re doing this kind of digging. You piece things together bit by bit. It’s like being a sports detective, almost!
Finally, I felt like I had a pretty good handle on that 1987 team. I was suprised that I can get the information so easily! I may look at another team next week!
