Okay, so I wanted to map out some nice walking trails in Genshin Impact, because, let’s be honest, the scenery is gorgeous. I wanted to create something, that could be easy to follow.

First, I booted up the game. I have my account, time to log in and get started. I needed to decide on a region to focus on. Mondstadt seemed like a good starting point – familiar, relatively safe, and lots of pretty spots.
Planning the Route
I opened the in-game map. I zoomed in and really looked at the details. I wanted a route that:
- Wasn’t too dangerous (no one wants to be constantly fighting Hilichurls).
- Had some nice viewpoints.
- Was a decent length – not too short, not a marathon.
I started by marking waypoints. I used a simple method. I imagined myself walking the path and dropped pins at key locations – a nice overlook, a unique rock formation, a peaceful-looking grove of trees. I connected those points in my head.
Next, I actually traveled the route in-game. I made a few adjustments. I wanted to make sure my route could be easily followed. Some spots that looked good on the map were actually a pain to get to, so I rerouted those sections.
Documenting the Trail
I took screenshots. Lots of screenshots. I wanted to show the key landmarks and the overall vibe of the path. I did this from multiple angles to help people follow along.
Then, I wrote down the directions. I kept the directions to simple, clear language. I tried to use distinct in-game locations as reference points.
Finally, I tested the instructions. I actually used what I wrote, and it was simple, and worked. So I saved the document and, finished my work.
