Alright, so I wanted to get a really good handle on the Golden State Warriors’ depth chart, especially with all the changes happening. So, I decided to make my own, just to keep things straight in my head.
First, I gathered all the player info I could find. Just went on a bunch of basketball sites, you know, the usual ones, and jotted down every player’s name, position, and maybe some notes about their strengths or recent performance.
- Stephen Curry-PG
- Klay Thompson-SG
- Draymond Green-PF
- and many more…
Then, I started organizing them. I figured it’d be easiest to do it by position. Point guards first, then shooting guards, small forwards, and so on. I used simple tool.
Next, I started thinking about the rotations. Okay, who’s likely to be the starter? Who’s coming off the bench first? It’s not always obvious, and sometimes it changes based on matchups, but I wanted a general idea. I put little notes next to the names, like “likely starter” or “key bench player”.
My Current Depth Chart
For instance, I will be sure that Stephen Curry is PG, and will be first.
It is really useful for me.

Finally, I realized this isn’t going to be perfect. Injuries happen, trades happen, players have good and bad streaks. So, I’m treating this as a “living document.” I’m going to keep updating it throughout the season, making adjustments as things change. It’s the best way I could think of to stay on top of the team’s ever-evolving roster situation.
