Okay, so I’ve been messing around with my golf grips lately, trying to find something that just feels right, you know? I’d heard some buzz about these Karma grips, and figured, why not give ’em a shot?

The Experiment Begins
First, I stripped off my old, worn-out grips. That in itself was a bit of a workout. Some of them were seriously glued on there!
Next, I got my supplies ready: the new Karma grips, some grip tape, solvent, a utility knife, and a vise to hold the club steady. (Safety first, people!).
Putting It All Together
- I wrapped the shaft with the double-sided grip tape, making sure it was nice and smooth, no wrinkles.
- Then, I liberally, and I mean liberally, applied the solvent inside the grip and on the tape. This stuff is slippery, so be prepared!
- This is the tricky part: I quickly slid the grip onto the shaft. You gotta work fast before the solvent starts to evaporate. It takes a bit of force, but you want it to go on straight.
- Once the grip was on, I made small adjustments before the solvent completely sets up. to make sure it was aligned correctly with the clubface.
The Result!
I let the grips dry overnight, just to be sure. The next day, I hit the driving range to test them out. Honestly, I was pretty impressed! The Karma grips felt really tacky, in a good way. My hands felt secure, even when I was really swinging hard. No slippage whatsoever.
I played a full round with them a few days later, and I’m still digging them. I’m not saying they magically fixed my slice (wouldn’t that be nice?), but they definitely improved my feel and confidence. If you’re looking for a new grip to up your game, go and get it!
