Okay, so I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, and today I finally got around to it: comparing James Harden and Russell Westbrook, head-to-head. I’m a huge NBA fan, and the whole Harden vs. Westbrook debate has been raging for years. So, I decided to dive into the numbers myself.

Getting Started
First, I gathered all the data I could find. I spent a good chunk of the morning just pulling stats.
Digging into the Stats
Then came the fun part – actually analyzing the data. I compared their points per game, assists, rebounds, steals… you name it, I looked at it.
- Points: This one was close, but Harden edged out Westbrook, though it varied year by year.
- Assists: Westbrook consistently dished out more assists. No surprise there, he’s a passing machine.
- Rebounds: Again, Westbrook took the lead. The guy’s a beast on the boards.
- Shooting Efficiency, Turnovers and more details: I calculate many data that can prove their skills.
It was actually kind of tough to keep track of everything. I ended up making a big, messy, but when I finished, it was all worth it.
My Conclusion (for now…)
After looking at all the numbers, it’s still a tough call. There’s no clear winner, it feels like. They’re both incredible players, just in different ways. Harden’s a scoring machine, and Westbrook is a triple-double * made it pretty clear who was better at what.
It depends on what you value more in a player. But hey, that’s just my take after this little experiment. I might dig in even deeper later on and see if anything changes!
