So, I was looking into this guy, Lamar Jackson, right? I mean, everyone’s been talking about him since he started playing football.
I wanted to see what he was like back in his college days. So I started digging around, trying to find out what people were saying about him as a prospect.
First, I just looked up some basic info about him. Found out he played for Louisville, and was a quarterback, obviously. I saw that he was listed at 6’3″ and 211 pounds.
Then, I looked into his awards and stuff. I saw that he won the Heisman Trophy in 2016, and was third in voting the next year. That’s pretty wild, right? He was the youngest ever to win it, that’s what I found out. Some articles mentioned that he had over 5,000 total yards and 51 touchdowns that year. That’s some crazy production!
After that, I tried to find some of his combine stuff and draft analysis. But to be honest, it was kinda all over the place. A lot of technical terms which I cannot understand. Maybe some guys like to read that stuff, but it was tough for me to follow. I just wanted to know what people thought about him as a player back then.
I did see that he got drafted in the first round, which, no surprise there, after winning the Heisman. But I was more interested in those early reports, you know, before he became a superstar.
But yeah, it was a fun little dive into Lamar Jackson’s college career. It’s easy to see why he’s so good now, looking back at what he did back then.
