Okay, so today I want to talk about Sarah Logan. You know, the wrestler? I really dig her whole Viking look and wanted to see if I could pull off something similar with my own photos.
First, I spent some time looking up pictures of Sarah Logan online. I needed to get a good sense of her style, makeup, and that awesome braided hair. I made a little collection of images that I thought captured her vibe well.
Getting the Right Gear
Next, I needed to get some stuff together. I already had some faux leather clothes that I thought would work, so that was a start. I also found some old necklaces and bracelets with a bit of a rough, worn-in look. Definitely not shiny and new!
- Dug through my closet for anything that looked remotely Viking-ish.
- Hit up a local thrift store for some cheap accessories. I found a cool belt with some metal studs that looked pretty fierce.
- Borrowed a fur vest from a friend. I think it was meant to be part of a Halloween costume, but hey, it worked!
Makeup and Hair
This was the fun part. I watched a few makeup tutorials online, but none of them were specifically for Sarah Logan. So I just kind of winged it based on the photos I had.
- Used a dark eyeshadow to create a smoky eye look. Sarah’s makeup is always pretty dramatic.
- Went heavy on the eyeliner. I wanted that fierce, warrior look.
- Tried to contour my face a bit to make it look more angular, like Sarah’s. Not sure I totally succeeded there, but it was worth a shot!
Now, the hair. That was a challenge. Sarah has these amazing, intricate braids. I’m not exactly a braiding expert, so I did my best. I managed to create a few basic braids and pinned them up to kind of mimic her style. It wasn’t perfect, but it got the idea across.
The Photoshoot
Once I was all dressed up and made up, it was time for some photos. I set up a simple backdrop in my living room – just a dark sheet, really. Then I started experimenting with different poses and lighting.
- Tried to channel Sarah’s intensity in my facial expressions. I think I mostly just looked constipated, but whatever.
- Played around with different angles to see what looked best.
- Took a bunch of photos, hoping that at least a few would turn out okay.
The Final Result
After looking through all the photos, I picked a few that I liked. I did some minor editing to adjust the lighting and colors, but I didn’t want to go overboard. The goal was to keep it looking raw and natural.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It was a fun little project, and it was cool to see myself transformed into a Viking warrior, even if it was just for a little while. Maybe I’ll try another wrestler’s look next time! What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments.
