Okay, here we go, let’s talk about snagging that shai gilgeous-alexander jersey for my kiddo.

First thing’s first, I hit up Google, right? Typed in “shai gilgeous-alexander jersey youth” – plain and simple. A bunch of sites popped up, you know, the usual suspects like NBA Store, Fanatics, and even some of the bigger sports retailers.
I clicked around a bit, checking prices and, more importantly, making sure they actually had the youth sizes. Some of these places, they only carry adult sizes, which is totally useless for my little dude.
So, I found a couple of options on the NBA Store site. They had both the “Association Edition” (that’s the white one) and the “Icon Edition” (the blue one). My kid prefers the blue one, so that narrowed it down.
Next up was size. This is always a crapshoot. He’s, like, right on the edge of sizes, so I always end up guessing. I pulled out one of his older jerseys and checked the tag to see what size it was. It was a Small, but it was getting a little snug. So, I went with a Medium, figuring he’d have a little room to grow. Better too big than too small, right?
Added it to my cart, went through the whole checkout process – address, credit card, the whole shebang. Paid extra for faster shipping because, let’s be honest, what’s the point of getting a jersey if it’s not gonna arrive before the next game?

A few days later, the box arrived. My kid ripped it open like it was Christmas morning. The jersey looked great – the colors were vibrant, the stitching was clean, and it actually seemed like decent quality.
He tried it on, and… it was HUGE. Like, swimming-in-it huge. I probably should have gone with the Small after all. Ugh.
So, now I gotta deal with the whole return process. Luckily, the NBA Store has a pretty straightforward return policy. I went back to the site, found my order, and started the return request. Printed out the return label, repackaged the jersey, and dropped it off at the post office.
Now, I’m waiting for them to process the return and send me the smaller size. Hopefully, that one will fit. Lesson learned: always double-check the size charts, and maybe even read some reviews to see if the jerseys run big or small. It’s a pain, but better than ending up with a jersey that looks like a dress. Fingers crossed the Small fits!
