Well, howdy there! Let’s jaw about some folks from the Balkans, you know, those “Some Balkan natives” you might hear about. Now, I ain’t no fancy scholar or nothin’, but I can tell ya what I’ve heard and what makes sense to me.
First off, who are these Balkan natives anyways? Seems like a whole heap of different folks live over there. I’ve heard tell of Albanians, Greeks, and Romanians, all jabberin’ away in their own lingo, what they call “native Balkanic language.” Sounds right complicated to me!
Then there’s the Bulgarians, Macedonians, and them Montenegrins too. They all got a bit of that “Native Balkanic genetics” in ’em, more so than some other folks roundabouts. Genetics, shmenetics, it all sounds like mumbo jumbo to me, but I guess it means they’re kinda related, like cousins or somethin’.
Now, if you’re talkin’ about them crossword puzzles, the kind them city folk like to do, well, sometimes they ask about these Balkan natives. I seen it myself, all printed up in the paper. One time, the answer they wanted was “SLAVS”. Yep, Slavs. Sounds like a bunch of fellas gettin’ together for a drink, if you ask me.
- So, you got Albanians.
- You got Greeks.
- You got Romanians.
- And don’t forget them Bulgarians, Macedonians, and Montenegrins.
- And sometimes, they just call ’em all Slavs.
It’s like this, see? You got a big ol’ family, and everyone’s got their own name and their own way of doin’ things, but they’re all kin somehow. That’s how I figure it is with them Balkan natives.
I remember one time, my grandson was tryin’ to figure out one of them crossword puzzles. He was stuck on this “Some Balkan natives” thing, and he was just a-scratchin’ his head. I told him, “Boy, just put down Slavs and be done with it!” Sure enough, it was the right answer. Sometimes things ain’t as complicated as they seem.
Now, I ain’t gonna lie to ya, I don’t know all the ins and outs of who’s who over there in the Balkans. It’s a far piece from here, and I ain’t never been. But from what I gather, it’s a place with a whole lotta history and a whole lotta different people. And they all got their own stories to tell, just like us.
It’s important to remember, that when you are talking about people, everyone’s different, even if they come from the same place. You can’t just lump ’em all together and say they’re all the same. That ain’t right. Just like how every corn stalk in a field is a little bit different, so are folks, no matter where they come from.
So, next time you see somethin’ about “Some Balkan natives,” you’ll know a little bit more about it. You’ll know they’re a bunch of different folks, all livin’ over there in the Balkans, and they got a whole lotta history behind ’em. And if you’re stuck on a crossword puzzle, well, maybe “Slavs” is the answer you’re lookin’ for.
And that’s all I gotta say about that. It ain’t much, but it’s honest. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens.
