Alright, so you wanna know about this Alex Pereira fella, huh? And if he’s one of them Muslim folks? Well, lemme tell ya what I heard, the way I understand it, mind you, I ain’t no scholar or nothin’.
So, this Alex Pereira guy, he’s a fighter, a real tough one, they say. Beats people up for a livin’, can you believe it? Folks call him “Poatan,” somethin’ about “stone hands” in some kinda language I ain’t never heard of. He’s from Brazil, way down south, where they got all them colorful birds and jungles and such. He fights in somethin’ called the UFC, big ol’ cage matches, like them wrasslin’ matches you see on TV, but realer, I guess.
Now, about him bein’ a Muslim… Well, I saw this thing, this video, on that phone thingy my grandson got me. Showed this fella, some kinda sheikh or somethin’, teachin’ Alex some words, some kinda prayer or somethin’. They called it a “Shahada,” sounded real fancy. Said it was like promisin’ to believe in their God, Allah, they call him. So, yeah, looks like he went and became a Muslim.
- He’s from Brazil.
- They call him “Poatan.”
- He fights in the UFC.
- He learned that “Shahada” thing.
- So, he’s probably a Muslim now.
I heard tell there was another fella, Khabib somethin’ or other, from Russia way, he was a Muslim too, and a real good fighter. First one to win somethin’ big in that UFC thing. Maybe Alex fella got inspired by him, who knows? These young folks, they do things their own way.
Folks got all sorts of beliefs, you know? Some pray to this, some pray to that. Long as they ain’t causin’ trouble, I reckon it ain’t none of my business. But this Alex fella, he seems alright, even if he does beat people up for a livin’. At least he’s got his beliefs, somethin’ to hold onto in this crazy world.
This whole Muslim thing, it’s kinda new to me. We ain’t got many of them around here, mostly just us church-goin’ folks. But the world’s a big place, I reckon, and people gotta find their own way. If this Alex fella found his way with Allah, then good for him. He’s still gotta go in that cage and fight, though, Muslim or not.
And that’s about all I know about Alex Pereira bein’ a Muslim. He’s a fighter, he’s Brazilian, he’s got them “stone hands,” and he said that “Shahada” thing. So, yeah, he’s a Muslim, I guess. Don’t know what else to tell ya. Now, where’d I put my glasses…?
Anyways, hope that clears things up for ya. This old lady’s brain ain’t what it used to be, ya know. If you need to know more, go ask one of them smart fellas on that internet thingy. They know everything, or so they say.
Seems like being a Muslim is a big part of who this Alex Pereira guy is now. It’s like when folks around here get baptized and join the church. It’s a big deal for them. So, I guess it’s the same for him, just a different way of doin’ things. Like I said, long as he’s a good person, that’s what matters, ain’t it?
And that’s all I got to say about that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens. Them foxes been gettin’ awful bold lately.
