Alright, so I’ve been trying to snag this darn Walleye in Stardew Valley. It’s been a bit of a pain, to be honest. This fish, it’s like a ghost or something. But I was determined, you know? I needed that fish for my collection, gotta catch ’em all, right?
So, I did some digging around, asked some buddies, and found out that this Walleye, it’s a night owl. It likes to show up when it’s raining, during Fall, between noon and 2 AM. That’s a pretty specific window if you ask me. I also heard if you are impatient, you can use the magic bait, which lets you catch any fish regardless of season, time, or weather. But I am a patient man, I did not do that.
First thing I did was make sure I had my fishing rod all set. I mean, duh, you can’t catch a fish without a rod. Then I checked the weather forecast. You know, you gotta know when it’s gonna rain. I saw that rain was coming up in a couple of days, perfect.
I spent those two days prepping. I gathered some snacks, got my in-game character all rested up, and made sure I had enough inventory space. It’s the little things that count, you know?
The Rainy Day
When the day finally came, I was ready. It started raining in the game, and I was like, “It’s go time!” I headed straight to the Cindersap Forest Pond, because I heard from someone that it’s the best spot for Walleye. I also tried the Mountain Lake and the river that runs through the town, but no luck there. It seems the Cindersap Forest Pond is the hot spot for these guys.
I set up my spot, cast my line, and waited. And waited. And waited some more. It felt like forever! I was starting to get a bit discouraged, not gonna lie. I caught a bunch of other fish, but no Walleye.
The Catch
But then, finally, around 1:30 AM in-game time, I felt a different kind of tug on my line. I was like, “This is it!” I focused all my energy, battled with the fish, and boom! I pulled out a Walleye. I was so stoked, I actually cheered out loud. My neighbors probably thought I was crazy, but it was worth it.
So yeah, that’s how I caught the Walleye in Stardew Valley. It took some patience, some planning, and a bit of luck, but I did it. Now, I just need to catch a few more to complete all the bundles. It is a great feeling. If you’re trying to catch one, don’t give up! Just remember, Cindersap Forest Pond, rainy Fall days, between 12 PM and 2 AM, magic bait if you’re really in a hurry. You got this!
