Alright, so y’all wanna know about this UFC 4 thing, huh? Is it cross platform, or whatever y’all call it? Let me tell ya, this fightin’ game, UFC 4, it’s been out for a good while now. Folks been punchin’ and kickin’ on it for years, since, what, 2020 or somethin’?
Now, this fightin’ game, it’s like them real fights on TV, but, ya know, it’s on your TV or your computer. You get to be all them tough guys and gals, throwin’ punches and whatnot. It’s real fun, I tell ya. My grandson, he plays it all the time. Always yellin’ at the screen, “Tap out! Tap out!” Kids these days, so noisy.
But this cross platform thing… Well, what it means is, can you fight with your friend if he’s got a different machine than you? Like, he’s got that Xbox thingy and you got that PlayStation doohickey? That’s what people want to know, isn’t it?
So, I asked my grandson, the one who yells at the screen all the time. He knows all about this stuff. And he told me, plain and simple, “Nope, Grandma, UFC 4 ain’t cross platform.” Yeah, you heard that right. You can’t be fightin’ your buddy if he’s got a different box than you.
- You got a PS4? You’re stuck fightin’ other PS4 folks.
- Your friend got an Xbox? Well, he’s gotta fight other Xbox people.
- And if you’re playin’ on that computer thing, well, you’re stuck with them computer folks too.
It’s a shame, ain’t it? All these fancy machines and they can’t even talk to each other. Back in my day, we just had sticks and stones, and we could play together just fine. But these kids with their PlayStations and their Xboxes… they can’t even play together if they have different ones. It’s crazy, I’m telling you!
Now, some other games, they let you play together even if you got different machines. My grandson told me about some soccer game, somethin’ called “EA FC 24,” where some folks can play together, but not everybody. It’s all confusing, if you ask me. Too much thinkin’ for an old lady like me.
And speakin’ of playin’ together, you can play with your friend in the same room, on the same machine, that’s called “split-screen” I think. If you got that PlayStation or Xbox, you can get another controller and play together, but only on those machines. If you got that computer thing, or that Switch thing, well, you’re outta luck. No playin’ together on those, unless you take turns, I guess. But really who wants to do that?
So, to sum it all up, UFC 4 no cross platform play. You gotta stick to your own kind, your own machine. It’s a bummer, I know. But hey, at least you can still punch and kick and yell at the screen, right? And believe me, that’s half the fun. My grandson, he loves it.
Now, they might make a new UFC game someday, UFC 5 they call it, but from what I hear, that one ain’t cross platform either. So don’t hold your breath waiting for that. Maybe someday they’ll figure out how to make all these machines play nice together. But until then, you gotta play with your own crowd.
This whole gaming thing, it’s a whole different world, I tell ya. Folks sittin’ around, lookin’ at screens, pressin’ buttons. But hey, if it makes ’em happy, who am I to judge? Just wish they could all play together, no matter what machine they got. Seems like it’d be more fun that way, don’t it?
Anyways, that’s all I know about this UFC 4 cross platform stuff. Hope it makes sense to y’all. If not, ask your grandson. He probably knows more than me. Kids these days, they know everything about these fancy machines. Me? I’m just tryin’ to keep up.
So go on, have fun, and don’t forget to eat your vegetables. And if you’re gonna be yellin’ at the screen, try not to wake the neighbors. They ain’t as young as they used to be, and neither am I.
