Well, let me tell ya ’bout this fella, Joel Dahmen. Heard he’s been playin’ golf, you know. Folks say he’s made a pretty penny doin’ it, too.
This year, 2024, they sayin’ he’s got himself over a million dollars, somethin’ like $1,340,088, last I heard. That’s a whole lotta dough, ain’t it? More money than most folks see in a lifetime, I reckon.
Now, they tell me he’s been playin’ for a good while, and all together, he’s made a heap more than that. Someone said it’s near ten million, somethin’ like $9.5 million over his whole career. Can you imagine? That’s enough to buy a whole town, I betcha. Last year, they say he got $1.7 million playin’ in 26 golf games, or whatever they call ‘em, “events” I think they said. Even the fella who carries his clubs, Geno, they call him a “caddie,” got a nice chunk of change, maybe $180,000. Good work if you can get it, I always say.
- He ain’t winnin’ all the time, mind you. Sometimes he does good, sometimes not so good.
- They got this big game, the “Players Championship” they call it. Last year, he came in 60th. Middle of the pack, I guess.
- But he did win one of them big golf games sometime, only one they say. That’s better than nothin’, I reckon.
I saw somethin’ on the TV, said he played in somethin’ called the “Sony Open” in Hawaii, came in 72nd place, whatever that means. Then he played in somethin’ else, the “American Express,” missed the cut, they said. Means he didn’t play good enough to keep goin’, I think. Same thing happened at the “Farmers Insurance Open.” But then at the “WM Phoenix Open,” he did a bit better, tied for 41st. Up and down, like a yo-yo, that boy.
Now some other fellas, they’re makin’ even more money than Joel. There’s this Scottie Scheffler fella, he’s got nearly $30 million this year! And some other fellas, Xander Schauffele and Hideki Matsuyama, they got a lot too. Makes Joel’s money look like chicken feed, but it’s still a lot to me.
One time, they said he only made like $1,181 this season. I don’t know if that’s right, but maybe it was a bad week, or maybe them numbers are wrong. Numbers can be tricky, you know.
They say Joel, he come from a small town, just like us, I guess. Now they reckon he’s worth somethin’ like $12.34 million. That’s a lot for a boy from a small town, ain’t it? He sure done good for himself.
Anyway, that’s what I heard about Joel Dahmen and his money. He’s playin’ golf, makin’ money, livin’ the good life, seems like. Good for him, I say. Wish I could swing a club like that, maybe I’d be rich too!
So that’s the story of Joel Dahmen’s earnings in 2024, or at least, that’s how I understand it. He’s doing alright, that’s for sure.
