Hey everyone, so I’ve been messing around with this Honedge thing, you know, the one that looks like a haunted sword? Yeah, that one. I was trying to figure out the best nature for it, since I heard that makes a big difference. And let me tell you, it’s been a journey.
First off, I started by looking around on the internet, you know, the usual forums and stuff. People were throwing around words like “Adamant” and “Jolly”, and honestly, I got totally lost. Some folks were saying “Brave” is the way to go, especially if you’re planning to evolve it into that Aegislash thing, which I guess is like its final form or something.
- The idea behind “Brave”, from what I gathered, is that it makes Honedge hit harder, which is cool, but it also makes it slower.
- Apparently, being slow is actually good for Aegislash because it changes forms when it attacks, and you don’t want it to get whacked before it can do its thing.
So, I thought, “Okay, Brave it is!” But then I remembered I’m still stuck back at Route 6, just starting out. Evolving it is a long way off. Maybe I should just focus on what works for Honedge right now.
I tried looking up some moves for it too. “Iron Head” kept popping up, which I guess is a strong move that also works well against those Fairy-types. And there’s this “Shadow Sneak” thing that lets Honedge attack first, even if it’s slow. Sounds pretty handy.
Now, breeding. Oh boy, that’s a whole other can of worms. Someone mentioned something about “power items” and an “everstone.” The idea, I think, is to get a female Honedge with the right nature (Brave, in this case) and then have it hold an everstone while breeding. Then you keep breeding until you get a baby with good stats. It sounds like a lot of work, but hey, if it gets me a strong Honedge, I’m game.
The plan right now is this:
- Catch a female Honedge.
- Get it to have the “Brave” nature.
- Give it an everstone to hold.
- Breed it while using a power item for the right stats.
- Hope for the best!
It’s a bit of a grind, I won’t lie. But I’m kind of enjoying the process, figuring things out as I go. I’ll keep you all updated on how it’s going. Wish me luck!
