Okay, so today I decided to make a list of all the WWE champions. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, it turned out to be a bit more of a rabbit hole than I expected!

First, I grabbed a pen and paper, thinking I could just jot them down. Yeah, that was optimistic. I started with the current champions, which was easy enough. I wrote down Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship, and… uh… I drew a blank. My mind just went empty. I knew there were more, obviously!
So, I fired up my laptop and headed to the internet. I figured the official WWE website would have a list, and I was right… sort of. They show the current champions, but I wanted a full historical list. All of them! From every era.
That’s where things got messy. I found a bunch of different websites, forums, and fan pages, all with slightly different information. Some listed champions by title, some by year, and some were just huge, unorganized walls of text. It was information overload!
I spent a good hour just sifting through everything. I started to create my own spreadsheet, which is kind of my solution. I divided it up by championship – World Heavyweight, WWE Championship, Women’s Championship, Tag Team, etc. Then I started to record every champion’s name in my sheet.
The Big Realization
- I am working on it.
I’m still working on it, to be honest. It’s a long-term project, I guess. But it’s also pretty cool to see the history of each title, and all the legendary names that have held them. Maybe I’ll share the finished spreadsheet someday, once I’m sure it’s, you know, actually complete and accurate.
