Okay, so, I’ve been following WWE for a while now, and one of my favorite superstars is Rhea Ripley. Today, I decided to dig deeper into what’s been going on with her lately.
First thing I did was check out the latest episode of WWE Raw. I found out that Rhea made a comeback on the December 9 episode. It was cool to see her back in action, especially since it was her first singles match on the brand since January 1. I watched the whole episode, taking notes on her interactions and matches.
Then, I started looking into her recent history. I recalled that after WrestleMania, she was sidelined due to an injury. This was a big deal at the time, and I remembered following updates about her recovery. After she came back, there was this whole drama with Dominik Mysterio, her on-screen boyfriend, betraying her. It was some wild storyline stuff, and I made sure to jot down the key events of that whole saga.

I also did some digging about her personal life, specifically her relationship with Buddy Matthews. I knew they were married, and that he’s also a wrestler, currently in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He used to be in WWE, which is where they met. It’s interesting how they’re both in the wrestling world but in different promotions. I added a section in my notes about their relationship and careers.
WarGames Challenge
Next, I watched some recent Raw highlights, specifically from November 18, 2024. There was this big moment where Rhea returned alongside Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, IYO SKY, and Naomi. They issued a WarGames Match challenge to Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae. It was a pretty intense segment. I watched it a couple of times to catch all the details and wrote down the key points of the challenge.
Finally, I remembered this storyline where Rhea came out wearing a mask. They said it was because of a broken orbital bone, caused by an attack from Morgan and Rodriguez on WWE NXT. In the segment I watched, she screamed “WarGames” in Morgan’s face and then headbutted her. It was a pretty memorable moment, and I made sure to include it in my notes, along with the context of the storyline injury.
So yeah, that’s basically what I did today to catch up on all things Rhea Ripley. I watched a bunch of videos, took a lot of notes, and got a clearer picture of what’s been happening with her, both in the ring and in the storylines. I did this because it’s just fascinating to see how these wrestlers’ careers develop, both on-screen and off-screen.
